SA001A - Safety Overhead Awareness

Developed to ensure that non-engineering people, such as supervisors and auditors, gain a broad understanding and appreciation of the hazards and risks of working from ladders and on wooden poles in a telecommunications setting. Delegates gain an awareness of health and safety legislation and compliance. The accreditation evaluates learners' knowledge of the dangers linked to this type of work and the safety precautions needed to mitigate these. As an awareness course delegates do not learn how to climb ladders or poles. On successful completion the delegate will be awarded their SmartAwards certificate which shows they have demostrated the knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary to XXXXXXXXX. This is a key prerequisite for more advance Overhead Safety training.
