SA001 - Safety Overhead
Designed for technicians working on the external overhead telecommunications networks. This core course covers working safely from ladders or on a pole. It is a key accreditation needed prior to taking more advanced overhead working courses. It equips learners with essential safety skills and a practical awareness of the hazards and potential risks involved when working within an operational telecommunications environment using ladders and climbing wooden poles. On successful completion the delegate will be awarded their SmartAwards certificate which shows they have demostrated the knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary to work safely whilst unsupervised from a ladder or a pole.
This course covers 3 mandatory modules:
Ladder safety,
Pole checking
Climbing, and Joint user poles.
