K008 - Hand Rodding in the UG Network
This module is essential for anyone carrying out Hand Rodding activities in the underground (UG) network.. This module consists of two parts, a questionnaire and a practical assessment. It will check the Delegates understanding & ability to complete the provision of cables and/or draw rope in the UG network, where Hand Rodding is the chosen option, using current working practices and quality standards.
1. Hand rod and rope a duct section in the UG network using hand rodding cabling techniques
2. Installing a cable into the duct section
3. Restrain cable using cable straps and bears or Kit joint support
4. Learn the correct quality standards
