Description
This accreditation is to provide learners with the necessary information to rescue individuals who become suspended on the pole for whatever reason while working on the pole at height.The purpose of this accreditation is to provide learners with the necessary information to undertake the rescue operation by climbing the pole and by use of a Mobile Elevating Platform. (MEWP) This accreditation sets out the skills, knowledge and understanding to support the individual to use correct equipment and methods to carry out this task safely.This accreditation ensures that learners involved to be suitably trained and accredited to industry and/ or National Occupational Standard (NOS).

This accreditation provides learners with the skills and knowledge of the hazards and potential risks when undertakingarescue operation by climbing a pole and by use of a Mobile Elevating Platform. (MEWP) It also helps learners? awareness of compliance with health and safety legislation. This accreditationtests learners? knowledge, skills and understanding of pole top rescue. This accreditationensures that learners involved cabling in pole top rescue are suitably trained and accredited to the National Operational Standard (NOS).
