AOD Level Crossing Attendant (LXA) Recertification

Description

This course is intended to assess candidates on correctly determining their roles and responsibilities when undertaking the duties of a Level Crossing Attendant. By the end of this course, all candidtaes should be able to demonstrate their understanding and ability to operate Level Crossing Barriers on Network Rail infrastructure. Re-certification is required every two years and consists of a one day classroom based course and assessment.

Course Aims

Upon successful completion of the course candidates will be able to:
• Continue to demonstrate their knowledge and ability to operate level crossing barriers correctly.

Accreditation

PQMS Limited will upload the relevant competence outcome(s) and result(s) to the Sentinel system.

Prerequisites

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must hold full COSS competence – not probationary.
• Each delegate must bring a form of photographic identification
• Must meet the requirements of Network Rail standard NR/L2/OHS/00124 medical & NR/L1/OHS/051 drugs and alcohol requirements.
• It is the responsibility of the delegates local manager to decide on their suitability to attend the course, in accordance with the current issue of NR/L2/CTM/021 – Competence and training in track safety
