Description

This course is intended to provide candidates with the skills and underpinning knowledge enabling them to undertake work near or adjacent to DC conductor rails; it is designed to provide the delegates with the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to work safely near or adjacent to DC conductor rails.

Re-certification is required every two years and consists of a one day classroom based course and assessment

Course Aims

Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be able to describe the principal of the DC electrified system. Identifying the main components if the DC conductor rail systems, including the hazards and risks associated with being near or adjacent to the DC conductor rail. Candidates will also gain knowledge on how to cross the DC conductor rail safely. This ncludes how to transit tools and equipment safely across the CD conductor rail, learning the defects that would render insulated tools and equipment unfit for purpose.

• Applying a TCOC in DC Areas

Accreditation

PQMS will upload the relevant competence outcome(s) and result(s) to the Sentinel system.
