BPEC Gas 3 week Training course + ACS assessment CCN1

This course has been created for people who have previous experience in plumbing and pipe work. The course is a combination of theory based sessions and practical training at our accredited ACS training centres.

This is a comprehensive Gas Training Course that follows a 3-step route to qualification. You will receive centre led instruction at one of our fully equipped gas training centres. Essential theory is combined with practical training sessions that build your confidence and knowledge. Training is delivered in small groups.

Course Aims

Upon Completion of the course, you will have the skills, knowledge and qualifications to work as an accredited domestic gas engineer.

Course Content

STEP 1: GAS FOUNDATION TRAINING COURSE

This is a combination of theory and practical training sessions, which include and cover the followoing:
• Health & Safety
• Installing central heating systems
• Installing water heaters
• Installing domestic appliances gas fires and gas cookers
• Energy Efficiency & building regulations

STEP 2: ON-SITE WORK EXPERIENCE AND PORTFOLIO BUILDING

You must gain on-site work experience. This work experience will need to be with a registered Gas Safe engineer and is essential to your development. It will underpin your knowledge in advance to your final exams and assessment.

STEP 3: INITIAL ACS GAS ASSESSMENT

Upon completion of your portfolio you will be ready to return to the centre for your final exams, known as ACS Assessments. You will be assessed for Core Gas Safety (CCN1) as well as the domestic suite of gas appliances including CENWAT (Central Heating), CKR1 (Gas Cookers), HTR1 (Gas Fires) and CPA1 (Flue Gas Analyser). Following successful assessment you’ll be ready to apply for Gas Safe Registration.)
