3 Day Electrical Course

The IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) are the definitive standards for the electrical industry in respect of safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. They set requirements and operating criteria for the UK and correspond to EC standards and are recognised by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard (BS 7671). It is intended to ensure that individuals are conversant with the format, content and application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018

Course Aims

The aim of the 18th Edition course is to provide you with an understanding of the Wiring Regulations, which you must follow when carrying out any domestic or commercial electrical installation work.To gain a better and more up to date understanding of the BS7671 Regulations.

If you are an Electrical Contractor looking to register with a Part P scheme, you will need this qualification.

If you currently hold the 17th Edition Amendment 3, you are eligible for the one day 18th Edition Update Course!

Course Content

The course is theoretical learning in a classroom. You will be assessed by an open book online exam in our training centre. There are 8 units to study on the BS7671 IET regulations. These include:

• Part 1 – Scope, object and fundamental principles
• Part 2 – Definitions
• Part 3 – Assessment of general characteristics
• Part 4 – Protection for safety
• Part 5 – Selection and erection of equipment
• Part 6 – Inspection and testing
• Part 7 – Special installations or locations
• Part 8 - Appendices
You are required to purchase a copy of the Blue version of the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018) before attending the course.
