Description

Understand various health and safety legislation guides and procedures. Have the knowledge to differentiate soil conditions and ground types, understand how to locate equipment and PPE to complete the work, know how to carry our full risk assessments to understand the suitability of the support system, stability of the?excavation and ground conditions and structures, how to Recommend procedures and equipment following the risk assessment. The delegate will interpret utility drawings and in line search documents, be able to install, inspect and remove timber & steel support systems and have the knowledge to identify dangers and hazards associated with excavations. This course also includes practical training and assessments whilst installing ground support systems in a live dig environment with specific proprietary shoring equipment.

This course includes practical training and assessments whist installing ground support systems, in a live dig environment, with specific temporary work designs.? EUSMUNC07 Excavate and Maintain Holes and Trenches for Utility Networks Construction. EUSGNC007 Excavate and Maintain Holes and Trenches for Complex Operations in Gas Network Construction. COSVR370 Provide Temporary Excavation Support. It also incorporates the relevant requirements of City and Guilds Level 2 Awards in Excavation Support Systems (6146-21) Nov 2012. HSG47 Avoiding Danger from Underground Services. HSG150 Health and Safety in Construction. CIRIA Trenching Practice (second edition R97). Achievement of the standard demonstrates effective performance, by being able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge: Interpret utility drawings and line search document. Install, inspect and remove steel support systems. Identify the dangers and hazards associated with excavations Use and communicate data effectively and resolve problems

Accreditation

Delegates successfully completing the course will be awarded an EUSR card detailing Category 3 - Install, Inspect & Remove Timber Support Systems Category 4 - Install, Inspect & Remove Steel Support Systems Category 5 - Install, Inspect & Remove Proprietary Support Systems This accreditation lasts for 3 years.
